Abstract
This study, relying on the narrative analysis, aims to explore the temporal rhythm in the Hostage ovel by using the prominent temporal techniques like retrieval, preemption, omission, spectacle, depiction and summation.
These targeted techniques are attached to the notion of the narrative time and nature of its motion.
This study based on the mythodlogy of the formative and constructive lesson. This adopted methodology commingled form and conception in levels of analysis. Thus, this research divided into two parts: The first section looking for a theoretical approach that demonstrated the effectiveness of the temporal techniques in the recitative narrative. In the second section applied paradigms have been selected from the Hostage Novel that help embody a formulation of the time and its cadences. The temporal rhythms must be fitted with the factuality of its incidence in formation of the artistry's recitation between the anecdote's time and the recitation's time. The results of the research revealed the most important temporal techniques in the hostage's narration, and the structure of the rhythmic system between the times of the story and the time of the narration, which is the difference and disparity between them, creating an aesthetic effect of the visualization of the scene of events, as the hostage's story was characterized by the good arrangement of the rhythm of the rhythm across a sequential line of its past And present, and these features brought her from the local to the global, so she had a prominent place in the list of global novels, and based on the results a number of recommendations and proposals were presented.
