The degree of innovative leadership practice in the College of Education Sabr at the University of Lahj and its relationship to job engagement

Abstract



The study aimed at identify the degree of innovative leadership practice in the College of Education Sabr at the University of Lahj, the level of job engagement among faculty members at the College of Education Sabr at the University of Lahj, and the extent to which there is a significant correlation between the degree of innovative leadership practice and job engagement, in light of the variables (gender, qualification scientific, years of experience); The researchers used the descriptive correlative approach, and a questionnaire of (44) phrases; As a tool, it was distributed to a sample of (62) of the teaching staff, and 83% of the community. The data was analyzed using the program (spss). The study found the following: The degree of innovative leadership practice for the leaders of the College of Education Sabr at the University of Lahij obtained a total average (1.80 out of 3), i.e. with a (medium) degree. The administration with the employees averaged (1.68), all of them at the level of practice (medium), and the job engagement of the teaching staff got an average of (2.43 out of 3) with a degree (high), and there were statistically significant differences according to the qualification variable in the fields of (innovative behavior, work environment, and innovative leadership). As a whole) in favor of the bachelor, and in the field of job involvement in favor of the master, and according to the variable of scientific title in all fields in favor of teaching assistants, and there are no differences according to the variables (sex – experience), It was also found that there was a positive direct correlation between the practice of innovative leadership and job involvement, which amounted to (0.57) and indicates a (medium) relationship. Based on the results, the researchers recommended raising the degree of awareness and spreading the culture of innovative leadership among the college leadership and faculty members, in addition to proposals for complementary studies on the subject.
